Fleece wraps are the stress-free alternative to a classic sweater: instead of being pulled over the head, they’re wrapped around your dog from the side and fastened with Velcro – ideal for older dogs, sensitive backs, or anxious pups. Depending on the style, available in soft knitted fabric or water-repellent Polartec® fleece, with the Slim cut especially popular for Dachshunds.

Not every dog likes having something pulled over its head. Older dogs, dogs with joint issues or a sensitive back, and anxious dogs in particular often find it uncomfortable. That's exactly where our wrap comes in: it's wrapped around the body from the side and simply fastened with Velcro – quick to put on, no stress, no awkward maneuvering.

That doesn't mean going without warmth or weather protection. Depending on the style, you can choose between soft knitted fabric for indoors and mild days, or genuine Polartec® fleece with a water-repellent coating for wet, windy walks. For Dachshunds and other slender, long-backed dogs, there's the Slim cut: cut narrower so the wrap sits securely and doesn't shift, even on a distinctive build. You can wear a regular harness over the wrap just as normal, so you stay flexible on walks too.

What size fleece wrap does my dog need?

Measure your dog's back length as well as neck and chest circumference with a flexible tape measure and compare them to our size chart on the respective product page. For slender, long-backed dogs like the Dachshund, we generally recommend the "Slim" cut.
